Privacy Policy

Last updated and effective: July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PowderKeg Intelligence LLC ("PowderKeg," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the PowderKeg Intelligence mobile application, the PowderKeg Pro features, powderkeg.info, or contact us (collectively, the "Service"). PowderKeg Intelligence LLC is the controller of personal information covered by this Policy unless stated otherwise.

Please read this Policy together with our Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service. This Policy does not govern a third-party website or service that you choose to visit.

Information We Collect

Account and profile information

When you create or use an account, we may collect your email address, account identifier, username or display name, profile image, account-creation date, sign-in provider, email-verification status, and account-security information. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive the account information that provider makes available according to your provider settings, such as an email address, name, provider identifier, or profile image. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Content and activity

We collect content and actions you submit through the Service, including posts and uploaded images, predictions, votes, likes, comments and replies, reports, searches, notification and feed preferences, support communications, and other interactions. Content you publish in community areas, together with your username or display name, may be visible to other users and may be copied or reshared by them.

If you use Conflict AI, we collect the messages and recognized speech text you choose to send, relevant conversation context, content you choose to attach, generated responses and citations, and related usage, security, and quota information. Conflict AI conversations are private to your account under our access controls, but you should not submit confidential, classified, legally privileged, health, financial-account, or other sensitive personal information.

Subscription and transaction information

When you use PowderKeg Pro, Apple or Google processes your payment. We and our subscription-service provider may receive your account identifier, email address, display name, store and product identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, entitlement status, subscription expiration, transaction or receipt identifiers, country or region, and related customer-support information. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Device, network, advertising, and diagnostic information

We and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, device and operating-system type, app version, language, time zone, device or installation identifiers, advertising identifiers, push-notification token and preferences, deep-link and referral information, pages or features used, ad impressions and interactions, search timing, request timestamps, and crash, error, and performance information. An IP address may reveal an approximate city, region, or country.

We do not request or collect GPS-level or other precise device location. Google AdMob and other network providers may infer coarse location from an IP address or similar network information for advertising, fraud prevention, analytics, or legal compliance.

Camera, photos, microphone, and speech recognition

If you grant permission, the app can use your camera or photo library so you can select and upload an image. We receive only the media you choose to upload. Conflict AI voice input first requests on-device speech recognition. If on-device recognition is unavailable and you enable Online Voice Fallback, Apple, Google, or your device's speech-recognition provider may process audio over the internet under its own terms. PowderKeg does not receive or store the audio recording; we receive only text that you choose to send as a Conflict AI message.

Website information

When you visit powderkeg.info, our hosting and network providers may process ordinary server-log information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and request time for delivery, security, and diagnostics. The website loads fonts from Google, which causes your browser to connect to Google. The website does not currently use its own advertising or behavioral analytics cookies.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
  • provide feeds, posts, predictions, discussions, search, sharing links, alerts, and other Service functionality;
  • provide, meter, personalize, and improve PowderKeg Pro and Conflict AI;
  • process and verify subscriptions, restore purchases, prevent entitlement fraud, and provide purchase support;
  • deliver and measure ads to eligible non-Pro users and honor available consent choices;
  • send requested push notifications and essential account, security, or service messages;
  • debug crashes, monitor reliability, enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and protect users and the Service;
  • moderate content, review reports, enforce our Terms, and respond to support requests;
  • comply with law, valid legal process, and our financial, tax, and recordkeeping obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect rights, safety, and property.

Artificial Intelligence Processing

To provide Conflict AI, we disclose the message you choose to send, relevant recent conversation context, and any PowderKeg content you choose to attach to third-party AI and information-retrieval service providers. Those providers process the information to generate, support, and secure the requested response. Before Conflict AI first makes this disclosure for an account on a device, the app presents a notice and asks for your permission. If you do not allow the disclosure, your message is not sent for AI processing.

We store Conflict AI conversations so you can access your chat history, maintain continuity, enforce limits, prevent abuse, and provide support. You can delete individual chats in the app. PowderKeg does not use private Conflict AI conversations to train its own machine-learning models or for advertising. We select and configure service providers so that private inputs and outputs are not used for general model training where commercially available, although providers may process limited records for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance under their applicable terms.

We may also use automated tools and third-party AI, search, and data-processing providers to create, organize, search, summarize, or enhance public and editorial content. That processing is separate from private Conflict AI conversations. AI-assisted output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is identified in the Service where appropriate.

When We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information in these circumstances:

  • Service providers and processors. Vendors process information for hosting, authentication, storage, search, AI, advertising, subscriptions, notifications, diagnostics, security, and support under their contracts and privacy terms. We require processors that handle personal information on our behalf to provide protections consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
  • Other users and the public. We disclose content and profile information that you choose to publish. Private Conflict AI chats are not published by PowderKeg.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid process; investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; enforce agreements; or protect rights, property, life, or safety.
  • Business transfers. Information may be disclosed as part of due diligence or a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • With your direction. We disclose information when you ask us to, such as when you create or open a share link or use a federated sign-in provider.

Categories of service providers

Depending on the feature you use, the categories of providers that may receive information include:

  • cloud hosting, database, authentication, storage, security, and content-delivery providers;
  • AI processing, information retrieval, search, indexing, and content-organization providers;
  • app-store, payment, subscription-management, entitlement, and purchase-support providers;
  • advertising and consent-management providers for eligible non-Pro users;
  • push-notification, crash-reporting, diagnostics, fraud-prevention, and customer-support providers;
  • deep-linking and referral-attribution providers; and
  • device-platform, federated sign-in, speech-recognition, and hosting providers.

These providers may change as we improve the Service. We limit disclosures to information reasonably needed for the relevant function and require providers acting on our behalf to protect information consistently with their contracts, this Policy, and applicable law.

Advertising, Tracking, and Your Choices

Eligible non-Pro users may see Google AdMob ads. Depending on your device, region, and choices, Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions, and device or usage information to select, deliver, measure, secure, and personalize ads. Some laws call personalized advertising "targeted advertising," "sharing," or a "sale" of personal information even when no money is paid for the information.

We do not sell personal information for money. We may allow advertising partners to process the information described above for advertising, subject to applicable consent and opt-out rights. Where Google's privacy-options form is required, you can reopen it from Account & Settings > Ad Privacy Choices. You can also change device advertising or tracking permissions and use Google My Ad Center. Pro entitlement normally suppresses in-app ads while active.

The website does not currently respond to legacy browser "Do Not Track" signals. Where required, we will treat a legally recognized universal opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as an opt-out for the browser or device that sends it. Such signals do not control data already shared through a mobile app; use the in-app and device controls described above.

Legal Bases for EEA and UK Processing

If EEA or UK data-protection law applies, our legal bases depend on the activity:

  • Contract: to create your account, provide requested Service features, and administer Pro;
  • Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, diagnose errors, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, provide non-personalized communications, and protect legal rights, balanced against your rights;
  • Consent: where requested for personalized advertising, optional permissions, notifications, or online speech processing; you may withdraw consent prospectively; and
  • Legal obligation and vital interests: where processing is necessary to comply with law or protect a person's life or safety.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide the Service, maintain security and audit records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and store requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type:

  • account and profile records are generally kept while the account is active and for a limited period after deletion or closure;
  • Conflict AI chats remain until you delete the chat or request deletion, subject to security records, provider retention, and backup cycles;
  • public posts, comments, predictions, and related moderation records may remain to preserve community context, legal claims, safety, and the integrity of discussions, but may be deleted, de-identified, or disassociated from your account where appropriate or required by law;
  • purchase and entitlement records may be retained for the subscription lifecycle and longer where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, support, or store compliance; and
  • crash reports, security logs, push-delivery records, advertising data, and provider copies follow operationally necessary periods and the relevant provider's retention schedule.

Deleted information may persist temporarily in encrypted backups or caches until overwritten through ordinary cycles. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

Account and Data Deletion

You can delete individual Conflict AI chats in the app. The in-app Delete Account control initiates deletion of your account and associated user data from systems configured for automated account deletion, and releases the current device's push-notification token. Deletion may take time to propagate through processors, caches, and backups. Some records may be retained, de-identified, or disassociated where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, billing, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, or preservation of community context. Deleting your PowderKeg account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

For deletion assistance or to make a privacy request concerning information that may not be linked to your account, email support@powderkeg.info. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to or a portable copy of your personal information; correction; deletion; restriction; withdrawal of consent; or an explanation of our processing. You may also have the right to object to or opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal information, and certain profiling; appeal our response; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

Residents of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland may object to processing based on legitimate interests and lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. We do not use solely automated processing to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about users.

To exercise a right or appeal a decision, email support@powderkeg.info with the subject "Privacy Request." An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and verify the request directly with you. Some rights are subject to exceptions, and we will explain any denial as required by law.

International Data Transfers

PowderKeg is based in the United States, and we and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use legally recognized transfer safeguards, such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or certified data-transfer frameworks.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted network transport, access controls, app and user authentication, and service-side authorization. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your device, email account, and sign-in credentials and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires parental consent for a user under the age of digital consent, that user may use the Service only with the valid consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this section, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service, providers, or law changes. We will post the revised Policy here and update the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects your rights or our use of personal information, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required by law.
